ContentsSt. Christopher's, Warden Hill, Cheltenham - 28 DecemberWe had some youngsters new to ringing join in with this Christmas event. This is what they thought. "I loved ringing 'We wish you a Merry Christmas' because it was easy to remember and it made a fantastic and lovely sound." Iona Derby (7) "With handbell ringing I enjoyed ringing the lower bells because they vibrated more than the higher bells. I especially liked 'We wish you a Merry Christmas' as I could quite easily understand the music and it was interesting. I liked the sound of the handbells and the challenge of making music together with other people." Aidan Derby (9) "It was a new experience for me, handbell ringing, and I was a bit nervous at the beginning, but eventually I really enjoyed it. When I rang one of the church tower bells, the thrill of my arms being lifted up and pulling the rope back down was really exciting. My favourite part though was the thought that I was making a sound that all of Warden Hill could hear. I would love to bell ring again because it was such fun making that fantastic sound and I would really enjoy having another go." Mirren Derby (11) Previous event held at Christmas 2008.
